Chop Sew'y Paper Fashion

What interest thing I did last year...........

There was this event named Chop Sew'y Paper Fashion | Lord Mayor's Student Welcome 2012. The Student Welcome is a celebration and recognition of both local and international students whom make to Melbourne's identity socially and culturally.

As we all know, Melbourne is a culturally diverse city with great educational offerings therefore this destination could continually ranked as one of the world's most livable cities. The Chop Sew'y Paper Fashion event is inspired by 'life as a students' and the experience of moving to a new city'. This event included many international and local students who willing to lend a hand during their spare times to helped set-up paper dresses and outfits. Those students spent two weeks worked on the project with a Melbourne-based designer- Colleen Burke.

First, team mate and I were brainstormed on how to make the outfit come alive. This is small figure with polystyrene cup as base.

Then, we started to cut up paper and hoping it looks awesome when it set up! I chose to be the model *giggle* :)

Ta-daaaaaa!!!!! The outfit comes to life! It wasn't complete yet.......................

.................................................. Not until the volunteers who came in week after to finished up the last-touch. The video below is the Chop Sew'y Paper Fashion 2012 at Melbourne and with this video, you can see the completed paper dress of this and the other groups' outfits! It's fascinating, cute and creative! Hope you all like it, enjoy.

Until next time, xxoo.
